Job Description

As an associate project manager, you will assist project managers with running software projects. Responsibilities may include delegating tasks to staff members, communication between team members, tracking project progress, escalating and handling impediments/issues, reporting on the project's progress to upper management, and making sure everyone stays on schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand a project’s scope and create documents for project requirements

  • Create project plans, establish timelines using Agile best practices (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals

  • Monitor projects on a regular basis, evaluating progress and quality, and managing issue resolution process to ensure corrective actions are taken

  • Work with other departments including Devs, QA, DevOps to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established timeframes.

  • Report on progress and provide regular updates on daily project activities and escalate blockers/impediments in a timely manner

  • Ensure all relevant project artifacts/documents are updated (Jira, Confluence etc)

  • Track product delivery in accordance with project milestones

  • Develop presentations and documentation related to projects

  • Client communication and expectation management, coordination between teams

Qualifications

 

  • Diploma or Bachelors in Computer Science or IT Business Management or equivalent

  • 2+ years of proven and successful experience in the relevant role

  • Reasonable understanding ideally some experience in Agile/Scrum

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively

  • Experience conducting Agile ceremonies (daily scrum, retrospective, planning)

  • Good communication and negotiation skills
